ESR-grade hot work tool steel combining excellent toughness with hot strength, resistance to thermal cycling and good thermal conductivity.

X40CrMoV5-1·H13

Hot work tool steel that retains its mechanical properties, and therefore its wear resistance, at high temperatures. Very good thermal stability and good toughness. Suitable for nitriding.

X38CrMoV5-3

Hot work tool steel with better high-temperature properties than 1.2343 and 1.2344, available in ESR or EFS quality with improved cleanliness and toughness.

55NiCrMoV7·L6

Shock-resistant hot work steel with refined microstructure, supplied fully machined on all faces.

X210Cr12·D3

Cold work tool steel with 12% chromium. The dense hard carbides in its structure give high wear resistance. Due to its sensitivity to tensile stresses and low toughness it has largely been replaced by other grades depending on the application.

60CrMoV18-5

Cold work tool steel suited to surface hardening, developed for sheet-forming (body panel) dies.

X153CrMoV12·D2

Ledeburitic high-alloy cold work tool steel with 12% chromium and about 1.55% carbon. Through-hardening, with high wear resistance and good dimensional stability.

X45NiCrMo4

High-toughness nickel-alloyed shock steel used for cutting and forming thick sheet.

90MnCrV8·O2

Oil-hardening cold work tool steel with about 0.9% carbon, alloyed with manganese, chromium and vanadium. Good hardenability, low distortion in heat treatment and high dimensional stability.

1.2083·X40Cr14·420

Plastic mold steel with excellent polishability and high corrosion resistance, remelted (ESR) for cleanliness.

X33CrS16

Plastic mold and holder steel with improved corrosion resistance from 16% Cr and improved machinability from sulphur addition.

40CrMnMo7·P20

Pre-hardened (28–32 HRC) plastic mold steel with high toughness and good wear resistance; better polishability than 1.2312.

40CrMnMoS8-6·P20+S

Plastic mold steel delivered pre-hardened (28–32 HRC). Because of its sulphur content 1.2312 is not suitable for texturing; where uniform core hardness and better polish are required, 1.2738 should be preferred. Offers excellent machinability.

X38CrMo16

Pre-hardened plastic mold steel with high corrosion resistance thanks to 16% Cr.

1.2738·40CrMnNiMo8-6-4·P20+Ni

Widely used plastic mold steel offering uniform hardness across the full section, mirror polishability and good machinability. It differs from 1.2311 and 1.2312 by its nickel addition, which gives better polishability. Standard 1.2738 is supplied at 30–34 HRC; 1.2738 HH (High Hard) at 34–38 HRC.
